Ocean Front Estates
Ocean Front Estates is a planned development of 79 single family homes on the ocean side of Palos Verdes Drive West, where Hawthorne Boulevard ends, between Lunada Pointe and the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. The City approved the tract in 1992, and the homes on county tract 46628 were built from 1999 to 2023. The developer, Capital Pacific Homes, offered the streets and about 71 acres of open space to the City. The habitat land is now part of the City's Vicente Bluffs Reserve, with public trails along the bluff. Under the 1999 development agreement, the association maintains the ornamental landscaping at the tract entrances and on the slopes along Palos Verdes Drive West. The association was formed in 1998.
